“Burntstar, we have to evacuate.” Littlerose stood in the leader’s den with Streamwater, a serious look her her gaze.

The new WaveClan leader twitched his brow. Streamwater had come in with Littlerose and told him about the brown warrior’s dream, claiming it was a warning from StarClan and that they had to evacuate far from the territory, possibly as far as MoonClan territory. A dream about drowning with no one there to help or hear her cries… it was too real to be true.

Then again, he had a personal interaction with StarClan for his leader ceremony. It was an… experience, but there was no denying that it was true. Perhaps he should take this seriously?

“Th-the dream was, ah, I really th-think it was f-f-f-rom StarClan. It has to be.” Streamwater spoke up, a frantic look in her eyes. For a moment the warrior bit her tongue, standing in silence until she could find the right words. “I-if we stay here we’ll… we won’t survive. A-and there are certain cats I want t-to keep s-s-safe.”

Burntstar narrowed his golden eyes on Streamwater, causing her to avoid his gaze, stepping behind Littlerose in order to avoid any harsh looks he may have given her.

“How do I know you’re not lying?” He questioned.

“Burntstar,” Littlerose piped up. “Streamwater was my apprentice for a very long time. She doesn’t lie about something as serious as this. If she had this dream, then StarClan must have trust her very much to carry out this message.” She paused, walking to the russet leader and looking up to face him. “If you don’t trust a warrior then you can trust a medicine cat, ri-i-i-i-i-i-ght?”

Littlerose made the face of a kitten begging her parents to venture out of the nursery. Burntstar’s hard gaze lowered for a bit, then he sneered to the side.

“Fine, fine! I’ll take you’re word for it.” The leader lumbered his way to the entrance before stopping to face the two she-cats behind him. “If it’s a fake then you owe me a moon’s worth of cheese fries.”

Littlerose and Streamwater shot each other a confused, wanting to ask “what is a ‘cheese fry’” but kept the thought to themselves. Littlerose exited first, and Streamwater followed. The brown warrior took a glance around camp. Robinfoot was lying beside Saltwater, chatting while sharing a piece of prey. Hailcloud avoided the sunlight by staying in the shade, playing with the kits in the nursery using a stick. The apprentices were visiting the medicine cat den, and everyone just looked so peaceful.

Streamwater glanced up, taking in the view of the sky. It was clear, not a single cloud in sight. Was this real? Was disaster really going to hit her Clan? What if it was just a nightmare? W-what if I’m making a panic for nothing?

“Listen up, sinners!”

Her train of thought was interrupted by the sound of Burntstar’s voice. The tom was perched on top of a boulder, watching intently as their Clanmates gathered around, not too happy with the way the meeting was announced.

“I just got word that a disaster is going to hit us at some point. Probably in a few days. Pack your stuff because we’re heading out to the mountains at night.” Burntstar made sure to toss everything on them at once, not really caring what their reaction was. Before he could jump off the boulder, he was already getting meows of protest.

“The mountains?!” Owlstrike roared. “Only an idiot would think to bring an entire Clan that far.”

“In my day a leader never told drag his Clan out in the open.” Huffed Saltwater.

“What about Crabpaw? I don’t think he’s ready to walk that far!” Meowed Sagepaw.

“Wait, who told you about this?”

The complaints and questions were flung straight at his with no mercy. Burntstar was growing impatient, and soon he found himself snapping at his Clanmates.

SHUT UP!He snarled. Realizing what he had done, the leader recomposed himself, clearing his throat before continuing. “Anyway, who I got the info from doesn’t matter. You just have to trust me. Warriors will help the kits, elders and injured along the way. We just need to evacuate from the territory. Mountains have shelter, and I’m sure Cliffstar will let us bunk there as long as we’re not in his way.”

“Burntstar,” Littlerose whispered, walking up to his side. “MoonClan’s leader is now Sunstar.” Burntstar wanted to open his mouth and say a snarky comment, but he didn’t.

“Okay then. I’m sure Sunstar is a nice guy. He probably wouldn’t mind if we crashed there for a while.” The entire Clan groaned, either out of their leader’s assumption or the fact that they were leaving their territory.

“Alright gang,” Burntstar meowed. “We’re going on an adventure!"

WaveClan's joining the party at MoonClan territory! Just imagine all the fun times to be shared. eue
